The children absolutely should be immersed into the culture their parents have brought them to.

Then the same for Hasidic Jews in NYC, the Amish in PA, the Huddites in the midwest, the breakaway Latter Day Saints in Utah and Colorado, etc. We have many religious groups that remain separate and keep their children apart here in the US. And an eyebrow is not even raised.
