lol, I love when the article one think is supporting their views is actually pointing out the problem with it. Did you miss the "Gender stereotypes are strong" part of that article? (Sure they are ahead of the rest of the world, but... still not there)

So... the evidence implies that the more egalitarian a nation is... the bigger the gap. If its made a perfectly egalitarian culture and society without any influence... Wouldn't the gap get further extended?

Because if they are testing multiple times for each country the difference between boys and girls, there is an inflation of the false positives. The alpha level of 0.05 could be too liberal.

*nnes here, don't mind language mistakes, pls Why mine "less harassment/better promotion fields" and your "less stressful" didn't give you the hint? When you can get a decent living with lower pay, you may prefer it. Btw most ppl have the desire to work in few fields. I did.

Maybe because it's not easy for people (esp children, teens) to stay engaged when they're actively discouraged to pursue an interest..? I was told by my AP calc teacher that "engineering is for men" (I got an eng degree but felt discouraged most of the time)
