Except that the original analysis showed people often didn't "click through" - they just shared it. Which leaves the headline plastered across timelines everywhere. "Fickle audiences" is also missing the point. Its very nature is 1000s of random sources - loyalty is irrelevant.

Obviously when you define any established mainstream source of news as "real news", you're not going to find much consumption of "fake news".
