Are we pushing doors open that are already open. Anger is about status. Disgust is about fear of the world falling apart so is more inclusive. Both react to challenges though. Of more interest is attachment to such fearful worlds?

The problem with disgust is that it tends to incite moral dumbfounding and the condemnation of victimless crimes. The widespread condemnation of homosexuality was largely based on felt disgust.
