See also @KAnthonyAppiah and @adamgopnik, who're cited. If I'm not mistaken though, there hasn't been a development of this line of thought wrt misogyny--or at least not by an analytic philosopher. Admittedly there has been little written about misogyny as such by us simpliciter.

Baumeister is a huge inspiration, but our treatment of moral violence is far more expansive than he envisioned, going beyond genocide and war to include all kinds of intentional harm. For baumeister, most violence is about threatened ego, self-control failure, not so for us.
