Really. Fifty years ago a marshmallow was a treat, now it's one of the little styrofoam rocks in your cereal.

always thought the marshmallow test is kinda bullshit. think it has less to do with delaying gratification, more about trust in authorities.

Daughter took one now, fully confident in her power of persuasion to win a 2nd later. Flaw was letting on that 2 sweets available at all.
