      meant as a critique of the idea of planned aging as grop-selected trait. numbers are AFAIK accurate if you are counting adult mortality

      (personally, I WISH aging was planned, then it'd be a matter of turning those genes off and massive benefit. but doesn't seem true)

      No matter if group selection is true or not, these numbers are an embarrassment for grand theories of aging. Can't be shrugged off cheaply.

          Those numbers are for adult animals. With 95% mortality before maturity, number that dies from aging is much smaller.

          no animal dies of old age in the wild. If book or refutation attempts,make people know more about numbers of wild ageing deaths it'd be good
