Ironically, I first checked the methods section and found the inclusion criteria a bit extreme. Participants had to have a history of at least 500 (!) surveys, with 98% completion rate. So I'm not sure that the results are general, or rather the result of panel selection effect.

“people who [claim to] value humility are prone to epistemic polarization” claiming to value humility isn’t the same as being humble right? so not at all clear that paper finds “humility breed[s] intolerance” ?
