There's 1 aspect of meat that has the same effect. Vitamin B12.https://twitter.com/StrawmanMeBro/status/1252743439537467393?s=19 …

Meat has vitamin B12. Vegetarians and vegans don't eat meat. So many of them who don't know how else to get B12 (mushrooms) will end up experiencing B12 deficiency symptoms, which can include depression, anxiety, and self-harm. https://twitter.com/StrawmanMeBro/status/1252372943700541447?s=19 …

Then explain the life expectancy and happiness metrics in nations that eat very little if any meat and live well into 100 yrs plus, like Japan for example.

The blue zone in Japan is in Okinawa and they eat tons of fried pork and purple sweet potato. You’re welcome.

Everyone dies some way or another. Meat eating habits are related to various zoonotic epidemics over the past century. You could die of an epidemic too. Or how about the tranquil monks who live to an old age, in Western and Asian sanghas, after a long life of meat avoidance? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perhaps people who are prone to depression, anxiety, self-harming avoid meat-eating as a social method of self medicating?

While this study's result seems to agree with my own personal experience trying different diets, the info in this talk by John Ioannidis leads me to great doubt. Your thoughts?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTAbx4i8Dyg …
