Correct. It is the grandchildren which close the circle of satisfaction. My pal just found that out. She was shocked at the difference, admitted I had been right, which is the other shocker.

You really don't know what fulfilled is until you have grandchildren when you are around 50 years old and have the ability to enjoy them. Work is a means to an end.

Is this being asked of childless women in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s? At those ages, most men still have the option, women don’t. Adoption isn’t even on the table, unless you are talking cats and dogs.
