I think this rather proves Kant. He expected it to be a universal/natural moral law. Kant: “Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the more often and steadily we reflect upon them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me."

There's not much to "morality" except, that's how you prefer to conduct oneself in dealings. One can only be moral bcos you like to do it that way, there really is no other reasons whatsoever, & to try & find one always perverts morality.
