Another one of these.... Regression to the mean and residual confounding from measurement error. Highly-educated parents 'preserve status' above & beyond the PGS because the PGS only captures a small fraction of variance! PGS != entire genetic endowment. Of course they do better!

I don't think that article is going to hold true for the children of parents born in the 1960s and later; college itself has changed. College is much more expensive comparatively (so many can't afford to go)... 1 of 2

... and degrees now require less math/science with less translation to a payable job, even as having a degree has become a ticket to work. Tech school/apprenticeship is a rising career option with better outcomes for many, but elites see this as going down the societal ladder.
