        I believe, and some researchers have said, that reasoning is not done in a universal way, but that humans are a system of genetic castes. Introverts for instance are more likely to reason independently. A minority of people do indeed reason outside the political boxes, as habit

        It's merely a religious equalitarian fashionable group think; exactly what the study talks about, that assumes that humans are not as genetically caste divided as are the social insects.

        Doesn't this suggest that people who live in more populated affluent areas would have more incentive to be entrenched? Wouldn't people in rural areas experience less social pressure to conform?

        Could be, but there could be an opposing effect; the anonymity of big cities could make it easier to switch allegiances. That is why psychopaths are said to prefer cities.

        Yes, and these are heritable traits. There is no one universal way that humans think and interact. We are genetic castes; it's mathematically impossible NOT to be genetic castes, because of game theory and survival of the adapted.
