Hmm. Shared sexual arousal often results in an increase in feelings of social intimacy, just as does the sharing of any other primary emotion (fear, play, rage, etc). So I’m not sure their conclusions here are correct.

I’d like to see the same protocols applied to different emotional states and then the results compared across those discrete emotional domains. I’d predict the amount of intimate sharing would be within the margin of error, regardless of the specific emotion being measured.
