This seems rather odd to me. Taking myself as an example, I would probably score higher on those autism spectrum traits than the average person and I'm (apparently) quite good in perceiving the world in a systematic way, yet I am religious.

As far as I can tell, the actual data this paper presents on IQ and g provide ZERO evidence for the autism hypothesis presented in this abstract. They just grab headlines from some other studies and leap to the conclusion that they are applicable here. Irresponsible if true.

The autistic traits/scientific mindset may mean individuals are unlikely to accept that disembodied minds exist (therefore rejecting the concept of spirits, ghosts or gods).
