I think blind people are also insulated from a lot of the social signals that tend to give people information on how attractive they are perceived to be. They don't get to see people admire (or not admire) their appearance when they walk down the street.

They probably recieve fewer disparaging remarks thanks to a certain amount of pity. Most sighted women are subject to outrageous verbal arrows about their clothes & body in addition to strange looks from a young age.

I have a theory that if women spent a fraction of the time they do on trying to fake looking healthy on actually trying to be happy and healthy, they'd be a lot more attractive and fun to be with.
