Interesting. Do you mean that, because the person in whom the disposition prevails would not be competing reproductively, that the reproductive success of the rest of the group would increase proportionally?

Makes sense, although the same effect on reproductive competition would presumably be true if that individual did not actually exist in the first place. So what would be the net population advantage of propagating this disposition at all?
