Question: do people in these studies actually check whether the prejudice is *unfounded*? I mean, prejudice implies assuming that belonging to a certain category correlates with certain moral or characterial traits I find distasteful. Are these assumptions all equally wrong?

If one person thinks "gay people are all perverts" or "black people are all thugs" and another thinks "christians are too close-minded" or "military people have an authoritarian attitude", are these opinions all equally far from the truth?

So you're saying they become prejudiced towards people who have CHOSEN––or in some cases, been indoctrinated––to be prejudiced towards people who have been born a certain way. I mean, yeah.
