The quoted passage does not seem to support your headline, or the author's claim. It admits that the longitudinal experiments required to test the claimed quantum of harm is not possible, so they tested short-term effects instead and still found statistically significant harm.

I can see how they would cause harm, but I think that the solution is to encourage people to be resilient. Encouraging them to think like victims will make the harm caused by microaggressions worse!

I don't doubt that they can cause harm, but I think the solution is to encourage resilience. Encouraging people to think of themselves as victims can make their victimization worse in some cases.
