Probably because of such desire. I've not read the study, but they should have tested the successful subjects before their accomplishment (usually not an easy feat).

I suppose once the necessities are in place for many years even during developmental stages the mind wonders elsewhere. Many of the mundane tasks are covered via helping hands and the mind therefore has the wherewithal to go elsewhere. Craving is an interesting word used.
