        It also means that virtually all top performers are men (e.g. top 10%), and virtually all low performers are women, because the gender differences maximize in the tails. Same with gender differences in personality, e.g. agreeableness.

        When the effect is so small, it's probably not a sex difference, but rather a socialization issue. i.e. it's a self-fulfilling prophecy (see: Golem effect, the Pygmalion effect and Stereotype Threat)
