People on the political left are more willing to suspect that wealth disparities are due to cheating than those on the right, prompting them to right the wrong through redistribution. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0014292119300704 …pic.twitter.com/hjYLla8M6i

I wonder if they are more likely to cheat because they assume “everyone else is doing it.”

I’ve observed lefties with success in biz who still tend to magical-thinking re: how money acquires value, wealth generation, relation to limited resources w alternative uses, etc. They still think things can be ‘free’ by distributing more money, i.e., representation$ of value.

Those same people are more likely to attribute disparate outcomes to culture rather than genes, unless the disparate outcomes favor members of “disadvantaged” groups.

My sense is that the text of the Rolf's tweet (as opposed to that of the article) is one of the core tenets of the left worldview.

Ignoring the likelihood that Left & Right are as likely to cheat, that those proposing fixes are also cheaters, that it should be phrased, "*attempt* to right the wrong", and that's it's all more dim excuses to meddle in people's lives.

Seems more that they both might suspect it but one is more apt to have something done as a result of it.
