IF this is true, given that in western societies religious people out-reproduce secular ones by a landslide, the next generations will be massively faithful to the creed of their own respective tribe (hence, radicalization in a multicultural environment ?)

What about certain personality traits that might predispose someone to be more likely to abandon their religion? I would guess that someone high in the trait openess would be more likely to leave their religion, as openess is associated with exploring new ideas.

Causes for apostasy must vary wildly depending on context. Where I'm from nobody would bat an eyelid, so it would be neither thrilling nor rebellious to commit apostasy.
