Identical twins relinquish the major objective of sexual reproduction: To maximize genetic variability. Weird new research by Satoshi Kanazawa suggests some parents can afford to clone “extraordinarily fit” offspring, creating monozygotic twins. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11692-019-09470-0 …pic.twitter.com/IkoSr0c76n

And Lamarckian... How would the organism know which genes are fit?

Your perceptions of how dominant you are and how attractive your mate is affect your hormones enough to send this signal.

Then there would be a simple correlation with testosterone levels, not of “higher qualities genes” (sic). How are these genes identified and measured ?

This seems wrong, really wrong. How does the organism know and select? What the hell is a 'fit' gene. This gets everything about evolution backwards, the organism isnt chosen for the environment, the environment chooses the organism. BS

Are you familiar with the story that higher-fitness individuals alter the sex ratio of their offspring (more males) because high-fitness males reproduce more than high-fitness females? That shows all the effects you're denying here.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC15177/ …

Also, it has to be said, the maternal organism has a fine-tuned machinery set to dispose of unfit offspring. https://plus.google.com/101046916407340625977/posts/DdWUNNsnKxJ …
