Sex differences in mate preferences, with women more set on earning capacity and men on physical attractiveness in the opposite sex, did not lessen in countries with greater gender equality. https://psyarxiv.com/mtsx8/ pic.twitter.com/MFoAP4iyUq

"Hey single friend, I know someone you should meet!" Women: "What does he do?" Men: "What does she look like?" It's anecdotal, but true for myself and every other person I've ever heard in this situation.

Maybe because I am in my early 20s, but women always ask about looks or to see a picture. Beyond that, social stigma could prompt a question about career before looks to appear less shallow, so this is a poor metric for their genuine interests.

Women are becoming less wise and more shallow as the old wisdom is being cast aside in the name of post-modern liberalism/freedom. Sadly, ignoring ancient wisdom and evolved habits often comes at a hefty price.

Women are told now that they should be like men and have as many sexual partners as their lust dictates. Never mind the continued, consistent, direct, negative correlation between # of partners and length of time women are able to make their long-term relationships work for. 🙄

It's the patriarchy that makes women more inclined to wanting men with financial stability? I'd argue that's pretty natural. I wanted to be a mom and homemaker, so I seeked out a man who could let that happen.

The change would have to be evolutionary. Pointless to speculate about what evolution might do for us millennia down the road. Pointless, but interesting to be sure.

The thing is some of the evolutionary changes in humans seems to have taken not as long as we previously thought. We won't see them for sure but still.
