I'm curious about this, also. Neanderthals apparently had a larger brain than us, but a similar brain-to-body ratio. Maybe it balanced out?

What is fluid intelligence is up for debate. Recent research shows working mem isn't part of it though long thought to be. And who was sampled? Ravens test eg isn't culturally unbiased. How generalizable is this?
