Espressos as antidepressants? Higher caffeine intake is linked to lower risk of depressive symptoms. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165178118300064 …pic.twitter.com/E1CudSbUFY

Doesn't caffeine just raise the heart-rate? Would exercise serve the same function? Some fitness experts I know have told me about "athletes depression". After injuries, those used to intense daily workouts, actually suffer from bouts of really low energy and spirits wo exercise.

Caffeine systematically blocks the neurotransmitter adenosine inside the brain, one of the most widespread inhibitory signals, which leads to a boost of other neurotransmitters.

Are you familiar with Kratom? It is the new coffee. I always called coffee the sweet elixir of life. Kratom is also a member of the coffee family and it is an even sweeter elixir of life. Please research if you are not already familiar.

People drink coffee to prepare for and while doing paid work? Unemployment causes depressive symptoms?

I’d hate to think how I would feel if I quit drinking coffee.

More energy, More action to get things done, Less regret, More extroversion, More likeability, More dopamine on success. Caffeine compounds, while also having diminishing returns.

There is evidence that coffee (not decaf) can help prevent Alzheimer's. Coffee is good for you (I'm sure there are exceptions).
