Very interesting, Let's just hope they won't kill or maim any octopuses to study this further. By the way, I don't understand why there should be a genetic similarity. The brain is very different. It could be a purely cognitive, functional, rather than neurological convergence.

A cognitive convergence implies there's also a neurological convergence, just as neurological convergence would be more precise yet remain broad, since they may not think the same way we do but have the underlying structures to develop a theory of mind.
