Relevant Peter Thiel Thread...https://twitter.com/Jevaughn_Brown/status/1041838831107035136 …
Where did Thiel go? In 2016 I really thought he was going to help save the world.
What little I've heard is 1) The turmoil of Year 1 had him 50/50 on POTUS for a minute there. 2) Establishment GOP blocked most or all of the people he recommended Trump add to the Administration. But 3) Trump still listened to him, and 4) Let's not overhype his potential impact.
If you tell me you're a "liberal" I instantly know your position on abortion, charter schools, Title IX, breast implants, affirmative action, police shootings, and a hundred other issues. Liberals are pre-programmed #NPCs.
And that's a bad thing? that only shows conservatives have more diversity of opinion (the only kind of diversity that does matter). That they don't all agree on issues which is a good thing. Unlike those on the left who all follow a single ideology with no ideological divergence
Why is it a good thing, exactly? It's indicates that policy is not what "conservatives" orient their political party around - and suggests some other organizing principle is in play (cough cough it's race and to a lesser extent, gender).
if it's okay for jews to congregate together, its okay for whites to congregate together.
So the people who demand coerced conformity are less tolerant of diverse opinions than the people who believe in individual liberty. Imagine that.
That's actually expected if your hypothesis was that the conservative movement in America is, by large, more anti-liberal than pro-anything. When you're simply against something, you can be anything but what it is you're against.
Liberals are NPC QED
Although we really shouldn't be calling them liberals. They are anything but-- Leftists. Marxists. Communists. Socialists. But liberal? No, they don't deserve that word.
They never did, but that word has been stained in the American lexicon. I want to reclaim it myself.
Liberalism, as in classical liberalism, is dead.
It’s not difficult to get a bunch of liberals to organize. But trying to organize conservatives is like herding cats.
So you claim, and yet GOP votes lockstep for horribly unpopular policy not even their own voters like. Then get reelected anyway. Seems pretty easy tbh.
Imagine that... the kulaks hate the GOP, yet they still don't vote for you? How terrible must your ideas be given the alternative?
This is only counter to liberal beliefs. Everyone thinks of his outgroup as homogenous.
Um, what’s the sample size as the method for determining divergence of thought? Actually, the results are basically that large groups of humans who appear similar actually have a wide variety of opinions. Absolute shocker!
We all now know liberals are NPCs. The mask has slipped
