Depends on the country you live in. Here in Germany, "psychotherapist" is protected, but use another label, and you got a fool's license. BUT most clients don't pay therapy privately here, so you must be licensed by (public) health insurance if you gonna have steady income.
surprised not surprised. I went through four therapists because I was constantly monitoring my progress. stayed with final one for three years. therapy was the best decision ever. finding the right fit is key. not everyone has that persistence- therapy takes time trial and work
I wonder if this is because there is very little liability associated with being a bad therapist (unlike, say, a cardiologist), as it’s so difficult for individuals to self-assess whether or not their therapy is working.

Ouch. I wonder what you think about the conclusion, that implementing "deliberate practice" is the best way forward for improving outcomes?
