I have carefully worded my tweet text: Large sex differences in desire for sexual variety belong to the best replicated results in psychology, AND they become larger in egalitarian societies. As do other sex diffs, by the way, for which we have more large datasets.

Datasets being large are a necessary but not sufficient condition for allowing them to be highly informative. “We gave English language questionnaires to a bunch of people in different countries. You won’t believe the answers they gave us!” is what much of this lit is

The sex differences in height, blood pressure, and waist to hip ratio are not based on self reports. The waist to hip data, which were reanalysed, can be looked up in Chiappa & Sing 2017,

I think it’s reasonable to want more than a coefficient and a p-value. There are many ways for Schmitt et al to post their manuscript online…I’d like them to do so.

Why are you picking on me? I took great effort & received, in good faith, data from a paper planned to appear in Behavioral & Brain Sciences. I have coughed up as much us possible, more than you will get anywhere else in the media or on the web. Why not address Schmitt or Buss?
