Sorry but they're all self-assessments. What it actually states is that college-aged males who PERCEIVE themselves to be strong are more likely to oppose egalitarian resource distribution. Quit it with the biotruths garbage.

I m not dogmatic about these findings, but it actually says the effects were the largest when strengths were objectively assessed in the lab.

SMH Any normal healthy person is going to be capable of squatting more than they bench. This doesn't have anything to do with upper body strength relative to lower body strength.

I’m curious if the causation may be reversed, rather than larger upper body strength leading to more individual views, more individual views lead to greater propensity to take charge of your life and that would include going to the gym.

I agree - my first thought is that this is correlation, not causation. I tend to agree that it is highly likely that men with hyper masculine sympathies would be more likely to work out and acquire upper body strength.
