There's plenty of highly educated fools who'd score well on varied tests. That action which is deemed good by prevailing morality may be tied up with the performer's own sense of well-being does not remove its positive value. Are we not all the result of competitive evolution?

I wonder how you measured cynicism. I suspect that many people that claim that we all look only for our self interest don’t know the extents of our own interests and therefore they would misjudge others and therefore they would not be real cynics

Wouldn't that be explained by a false equating of cynicism with scepticism? Sceptical inquiry is an inherently positive trait, and central to reasoning and investigation. Cynicism by contrast is inherently negative.

Super interesting. My experience with cynical individuals is that they also tend to make this mistake. They sort of look down on those who don't see our behavior as motivated by selfishness, seeing them as naive. Cynicism is clearly a bias, and often leads to antisocial behavior.
