The bigger problem is that MEN don't know what women want, Except the benevolent sexists.

Cloyingly patronising conclusions to a study done to "prove" previous misconceptions. Where is the evidence that attention on the part of a male mate has "potentially harmful effects"? That male attention is misinterpreted as "benign sexism" is truly BS - in its original sense.

Someone is going to say it is just 'BS'...but it makes positive sense.

The beauty of this snipit is the use of BS in this context in a non-ironic fashion. This should be nominated for an award of some kind. And if it was used with irony, the authors should write commedy.

Makes me think of Charles Krauthammer’s column -“Women and children first - still?” (In his book “Things That Matter) thought provoking

It all depends on body count. If you are in post war Russian Siberian village there is 10 women per one man. Now we are talking about women’s selectiveness towards men absolutely in different perspectives!!!

"Benevolent sexism (BS) has detrimental effects on women." I expect a statement like this, in a peer reviewed article, to refer readers to citations.
