LIES! Nah, when you think about it, the ability to deceive has probably been life-or-death selected for since primates started forming in bands. Every child is trained in it rigorously from the start.
Of course, but the opposite should be true as well. We should be good at finding deception to promote honest signalling.

Could a neuronal network trained on a sufficiently large data set be used as a plausibility test? If there is a signal, it should have predictive power. Coughing up the samples would be challenging though.
