It’s become very clear that Walt Disney World works best and often only for the Disney fan/exhaustively researched tourist that does one big week at the parks a year. Not the casual visitor and most depressing, not the once in a lifetime vacationer.

We skipped Epcot one trip when it aligned with extended food & wine. Prior experience was absolutely miserable.

As a teacher, I’ve had like 5 families take trips to Disney during the school year alone. They’d rather take their kids out of school than deal with July heat and crowds like tourist plebs aka me

My family definitely did this, and I will probably pull my kids out of school to do it too. Screw the heat and the lines.

in my experience the best time of the year is to go *just* after thanksgiving. epcot was almost empty and queue times were all around pretty low

It's def not for the once in a lifetime vacationer. My family has been 5x since 2013 (last trip 12/2019) and there's still things we haven't seen with 5 day parkhopper, rope drops and 25,000 steps by midnight each night. We just can't max it any more. It's gotten way too crowded.
