In our recent years, we have become a multi-faceted initiative that explores a plethora of ways in which stories can be used as a tool for transformation. #defendpr #PuertoRico

Our immersive storytelling approach seeks to create on and offline spaces that transcend geographic boundaries in order to connect the many diasporic Boricua communities that exist elsewhere in the world, with the people living on the archipelago.

Defend Puerto Rico has evolved and taken on a participatory action approach, one that seeks to understand Puerto Rico by wielding the power of community engagement to affect change.

This participatory action approach is centered in our work and informs our filmmaking and media production methods, as well as grounds our advocacy, education, and cultural preservation initiatives.
