    🇬🇧🇩🇪🇫🇷 Defence Secretary today spoke with defence ministers from two of the UK’s closest partners – Germany’s and France’s – to update them on our historic increase in defence spending.

    Defence Secretary Ben Wallace on calls with his French and German counterparts: "The increase in the UK's defence budget is not just good news for the UK but for our European Allies too. The UK's historic increase in defence spending ensures our commitment to European security will made by a modernised Armed Forces, fully adapted to today's threats.     Working with our allies, the British Army has helped deliver Exercise Loyal Leda. Having operated safely in the challenging COVID environment, the exercise has confirmed that 120,000 troops across multiple domains, including cyber and space, are now held at high readiness.
