(1/3) Over the last five days, there has probably been an increase in the intensity of Russian assaults along the Donetsk sector of the Donbas. North of Donetsk city, there has been intense fighting near the towns of Siversk and Bakhmut.

(2/3) Pro-Russian separatist militia have probably made some progress towards the centre of the village of Pisky, near Donetsk Airport. However, overall, Russian forces have secured few territorial gains.

And how do you propose we do that? Invade Russia? Send the SAS in? Diplomatic relations are pretty much zero so the answer to your question is probably ‘no’ unless a third party, like Turkey, is making an effort on our behalf.

Those words have specific meaning for intelligence info. You will see others like ‘highly likely’, ‘almost certain’. They relate to probabilities defined here assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/upl p72. They are rightly qualifying the level of certainty of what they are reporting.
