We spent 2022 being told Russia would cut production to spike oil prices and drive the West into recession. What actually happened is that production rose from 2021. Putin is fightin an expensive war. He needs cash desperately, so can't cut output. The West holds all the cards...

Today's positive payrolls surprise is the biggest we have on record at +3.6 standard deviations, with the exception of exactly a year ago (+3.8). You don't get this kind of positive surprise if recession is imminent, so this report ends US recession fears. USD is much too low...

Germany has said that it would provide 14 German-made Leopard 2 tanks. But Poland and other allies will provide their Leopard 2 tanks with the ultimate goal of outfitting the Ukrainians with 88 of them. Those will hit the field much faster.

The tanks won't be available for months, as the US is procuring them, as opposed to pulling them via Presidential drawdown authority, but a LOT of new armor from allies is about to hit the field
