    Love seeing my dear friend in this story. When we first met in 2017, my faith in our democracy post 2016 election was gone. Deeqo's story reminded me why I got involved in campaigns; to elevate the voices of true community advocates.

    We need only ask who moved to America 🇺🇸 after escaping the Civil War in Somalia back in the 1990s. Our streets in Chicago, New York, and Boston must no longer have violence that mirrors wars overseas. We need strong leadership to help build peace.

    By taking the official Policy Pledge, has shown she is a coalition builder & a fighter 4 the Freedom 2 Move Act. We need reliable public transit from Mattapan Sq. 2 Nubian Sq. We must guarantee JOBS for Boston Residents. We must DEFEND Equal Justice.

    We must get to know our neighbors. Boston need someone who understands how to navigate public policy. Government can be confusing, so we need someone like who has a vision, based on her lived experience.

    I had a wonderful time canvassing and talking to voters this weekend! I love learning about the issues facing our community because the best way to learn how to help people in our community is to ask them what they need!

    Animals are our best friends. Yet, children, have not been taught the science behind different types of animals as part of STEM curriculum. We need to help fight to ensure children learn about puppies, kittens, chickens, and urban gardening Post COVID

    Nobody should have to worry about bullets coming through their living room in Boston, MA. is the truth, and I am excited about her vision to help heal our city Post COVID19.

    1/2 On Monday, there was a shooting outside of my house, and four bullets entered my home. I came to the U.S. to escape the violence in my home country of Somalia. The last thing I wanted for my children is to be exposed to violence in the same way that I was growing up.
