Would be nice to have you comment on full time YouTubers deciding to opt out of live streaming on the platform because of the evidence that negatively effects your channelhttps://twitter.com/UpshallGames/status/1043098244946055168?s=20 …

I’m sure everyone would benefit from yourselves actually, and actively, looking at fixing these glaring issues, explaining why they exist and how you want to fix everyone’s ability to stream and not have to worry about it negatively effecting their channel....????

Thanks for raising this. We investigated these cases a few months back and didn't find evidence that going live leads to declining performance of the overall channel (no systemic correlation). We're continuing to listen to feedback and look into any new reports/concerns, though!

Also, we do suggest spacing out streams and uploads to avoid cannibalization of viewership (similar to uploads). Hope this helps clarify and if we have any additional findings or best practices related to live, we'll def share them out.

“Going live leads to declining performance of the overall channel” is such a subjective sentence that it means nothing. However why would anyone need to space out live streams and uploads to avoid cannibalization of viewership? What on earth...

Why would you create live streaming on your platform yet it can be responsible for destroying viewership if used too much. What was the evidence that these fulltime YouTubers gathered and concluded that was responsible for negative effects on their channels? Cannibalization?

You can harm your channel by uploading too many videos also, the point here is that there isn't a link between livestreaming and declining performance vs regular videos.

So WHY do full-time YouTubers absolutely refuse to livestream regularly on YouTube, if at all? and pro-actively encourage others away from doing so? IF live streaming has no link to declining performances? (https://twitter.com/UpshallGames/status/1043098244946055168 …) have any of you read this thread at all?

I haven't met one successful fulltime creator, on YouTube, actively encourage me to stream on YouTube. I'm in a private discord group with loads of fulltimers, all of the same the same thing? So who's wrong and who's right?

Considering YouTube has lied time and time again about how the system actually works, I wouldn't buy too much in to anything they say.
