I am a creator that moved from England to the USA. I am certain my channel settings are US based now however how can I be sure?

The language is still being finalized, but your videos could be blocked from being viewed by people in Europe. This likely means less views and less revenue. It also means less videos on YouTube overall, so does impact everyone, everywhere:https://goo.gl/ewvv5s

The current proposal could cut off EU audiences from a lot of content. The latest cultural moments being shared on the Internet, language classes, and how to’s would be missed by millions.

My question had absolutely nothing to do with language classes. My question was a channel settings based question.....

Sorry – yes that was confusing. The impact is based on where the viewer is located. So if the viewer is based in the EU, they won't see the video regardless of your channel settings.

I Know that

that’s not my question!!!!!!
I THINK I changed my channel settings so that I am based in the US
Can you tell me how I can be 100% CERTAIN that I have absolutely completed that process correctly!!!pic.twitter.com/ytzJ0mxiEs2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

Oh!! Just generally, you want to make sure your channel's location setting is updated. If you updated this in advanced settings > country then you should be all set, but let us know what steps you took.

Exactly, yes!! I know how YouTube settings like to be needlessly complex so wanted to reaffirm whether there was any other un heard of procedures to take, digital contracts to sign because of tax differences, ya know. The usual million thoughts.

Might I add this tweet thread has been a rollercoaster, been told I disrespect people, told I’m a failure as a creator because of it, all simply for that one tweet from yourselves. Don’t worry though, I still love ya YouTube....sometimespic.twitter.com/jGUKsdiYfl
