Our City has reached 148% of market rate housing production goals and only 35% of below market housing goals. That’s a problem, and one that will not be solved by changing the subject. Our City needs to prioritize housing for the working class.

Because of the magic of inclusionary zoning, increasing the production of private developments also increases the production of subsidized housing. By dramatically increasing construction, SF can meet 100% of its BMR goals and more than 400% of its market-rate goals.

The RHNA housing goals do not represent total housing demand. San Francisco hasn't built enough of any kind of housing whatsoever.

Then why do you support charging additional fees on developers that use SF’s density bonus to build affordable housing?
Because then you’re just disincentivizing affordable housing construction.
I’ve asked this multiple times with no response.
