Hi I heard you showed clips from our doc today, footage from when I was at the factory doing my first test drive with Elon back in 2013. It was part of a segment on the UK banning petrol cars, would love to see it if it’s up online anywhere!

Just heard the prime minister’s statement about the project to and ditch hybrids. I’m worried I agree with him, and the reaction and resistance from manufacturers and the oil industry will be determined and brutal.

The cost to buy and install a home charge point range from between £300-£1000 but in the UK you could be eligible for an OLEV grant if you have a driveway which could save you up to £500 Episode 3 of Maddie Goes Electric here -

Climate change is the biggest global issue of our time, intertwined with and/or at the root of every other major concern. We CANNOT let our government get away with treating it like a game. The UK must lead the effort to make COP26 a success with thoughtful & serious action.

Believe it or not the engineers at the national grid have been talking and planning for this outcome, for years and years. EVs will help with grid balancing, we will need less power generation , not more, a fact that drives some folks berserk.

And clearly the big excuse pundits are using is ‘there’s no charging infrastructure’ and none of these people have driven an EV or used the existing charging network which is way bigger than many think

Addressing climate change isn't just about cars. It requires a far more fundamental approach (and lots of it will make society better in other ways). This announcement sounds like a COP26-out, and we can't afford that.

Weirdly find my self very happy with the UK government bringing forward the ban on & by 5 years however i don't think they did it enough! 10 years forward should of been plenty of time for companies to adapt to change!
