What can be done to counter this?

-
Don’t watch. Tell your friends. And spread the message.
-
Except that doesn’t really do anything about all of the millions of people who already *are* watching & are being brainwashed by doing so.
-
Sorta tough to get the average Joe to switch the channel after Wheel of Fortune...
-
True... I'll take "Vast Wasteland" for a thousand, Alex
-
It's not about getting someone on autopilot to change the channel. Many people in the middle of the echo chamber don't even know it. Everyone knows to avoid the koolaid from the agressive cult representatives, but no one suspects the koolaid at the local grocery store.

So, why have the 'anchors' consented to this? No back bones? Do they support this agenda
-
Mortgages to pay.
-
Don't we all. Perhaps a little solidarity among anchors would help.
-
I think that's why they all read it plainly, no editorial, no variance. It made it easy to spot.
-
Not really easy to spot. Most of us wouldn't know it if someone hadn't taken the trouble to compile this all together. It's extremely disturbing.
-
Fair point. I guess I've been in media too long. Just the wording and presentation alone told me propaganda. But I'm pretty sure the anchors were trying to send a message, like a prisoners of war. I figured FOX out in less than a week in 1998.
-
This was not only Fox channels though.
-
Right that's what makes it so much more insidious and sneaky!

From the below link, click on "Filter by DMA" and then check your city to find which station is Sinclair-owned http://sbgi.net/tv-channels/
-
Thanks, very helpful. Interesting that the only California cities they’re in happen to be very conservative ones. They aren’t here in San Francisco, but they are in Fresno-Visalia. Devin Nunes’ district. Makes sense.

On the other hand, Shep Smith courageously remains outspoken on Fox News. I’m amazed they haven’t fired him
-
Shep Smith and Chris Wallace are their only source of credibility as a news organization. Get rid of them and it's just an opinion channel.
-
ALL of the news channels have become opinion channels. You can’t watch any news on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, etc. without noting the blantant spin to the left/liberal/Democrat side. Can’t watch FoxNews without the obvious conservative/Republican spin. Neutral news is dead.
