This is a bs take, because they are doing it without the ability to compel cooperation, with limited resources compared with DOJ, and without the ability to devote as much time to it as DOJ. Also, they cannot offer a cooperation agreement w/o compromising criminal prosecution.

You seem to think Joyce means DOJ *told* the committee that it would leave it all up to the committee. What she means instead, I *think*, is that the committee is doing all they're doing partly as default, because by appearances DOJ is doing not much.

What I fear is the Merrick Garland, just as he failed to act on the recommendation made in the Mueller report to indict tRump on many counts of Obstruction of Justice, he may also turn a blind eye to these referrals from the Jan 6th Committee regardless of all the evidence given.
