A sobering statement from a very sober and intellectually honest ,no nonsense and straightforward speaking Chuck Rosenberg

He saw the
@maddow show Thursday night which showed that Trump's comments about Montenegro and Soviet's version of Afghanistan came from one source: Russia. The Manchurian Candidate is shaping foreign policy according to the whims of Putin. -
Shoo, talk about life imitating art. He really is The Manchurian Candidate.
-
With a very telling history that could explain Trump shoving that individual at the NATO Summit in 2017. (Montenegro)https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/trump-curiously-well-versed-in-specific-russian-talking-points-1419581507654 …

Let me paint a picture for you: Trump, alone at WH during xmas, gabbing w/buddy Putin on the phone. Trump knows ZERO history, Putin gives him a "lesson". Trump doesn't know the difference bc he's an idiot, but Putin's version sounds good enough. He repeats it.
-
I don't think it's quite as nefarious as it seems, though, I almost think it's worse. Any other president would say "hmm, this doesn't sound right, let me check with MY OWN intel/nat sec team." Instead, he's learning alternative history FROM PUTIN!
-
And Putin KNOWS exactly how to sell it to that sucker! Just say "Donald, my love, US is going to go broke fighting ME wars. I know, my dear, because the same happened to us in the 70s. Let us take this off your hands, Donald.
" And Donald falls for it hook, line, and sinker. -
It's like having your 4 year old explain Santa to you. They only know what you've told them or what shows geared for children show them. And in a 4 year old, that naivety is adorable! In a 72 year old "president", it's f*cking terrifying.

I think
@Maddow said this first. -
Maddow has said most everything first, from WAY before the election in 2016.

-
And that is no slam to
@NicolleDWallace. She's done amazing work too!!

The alarms should all be sounding clearly and loudly. Trump is compromised. He’s in office to stoke chaos and fear at the behest of his handlers in the Kremlin. I’ve been calling him a clear and present danger to the country from day one. Something must be done immediately.
-
That's one reason I keep wondering if we're actually going to have any nation left to pick up the pieces for if congress waits on Mueller.
-
GOP is not waiting. They're involved. Many, many Congress members ultimately go down, me thinks.
-
And Trump just today said he will keep the government shut-down going for YEARS if he doesn't get his way. Taken in context of the chaos theory, that would certainly add to the chaos, wouldn't it?
-
There won't be any govt if he actually does that because it means no tax refunds. And how many ppl do you suppose will keep paying their taxes to begin with when that sinks in?

That's part of the problem. Too many of those with the creds & clout and a big microphone are worried about being labeled as an 'alarmist' to speak the truth, when most of the frig'n country has been alarmed since the week after trump's inauguration.
-
The alarm being sounded by the least alarmist of human beings is precisely what makes it so powerful.
-
You beat me to it! Rosenberg is just about the least excitable expert out there.
