Yeah true, I actually misread your question as deported rather than detained, sorry. They or Jim's management no doubt reported him to police that then involved fbi or contacted fbi directly. Probably rightfully so, security wise imo.
No, that's what you are saying. I'm just giving the simplest and most obvious explanation for the series of events. Like I said, I've pretty much covered what I think in the thread.

Well, you don’t need the FBI for non-violent people who have visited your country before. And after what I saw with Smollett I have zero trust in the authorities where members of Hollywood are concerned. Same for OJ Simpson.

Like I said already it would be perfectly reasonable for any competent security company to raise concerns about avis visit to police who may have then gotten the fbi involved, as avi said himself.
