Families would be able to take their children's education dollars to the education provider of their choosing: • Private school • Home school • Charter school • Virtual school • Another district schoolpic.twitter.com/ZneKth91Ii

This is the best solution to the masking debate - and just about any other debate in K-12 education We shouldn't force anyone into a one-size-fits-all system that doesn't meet their needs Funding students directly and empowering families solves these problems.

Families should be able to take their education dollars elsewhere regardless of their public school's masking decision But this would be a step in the right direction Families wouldn't be forced into a one-size-fits-all institution. We should fund students, not systems.

In regards to homeschooling would they be subject to state approved curriculum? The funding source is still got it's ties to government, so they can still call the shots in that regard. If it's about choice then the parent should be the one who decided the curriculum.

Ensures performance and is a step towards any modicum of equality amongst kids. If you’re a believer in “equity” you’d also think blue states would be on board w this. This will be a test: do they care about BIPOCs or teachers’ union $ more?

Pretty self-centered & disdainful isn't it? If all with wherewithal to pull their kids did & money followed them then all that's left would be even more dysfunctional schools w/ fewer resources Their cost structure is inelastic so they'll have shortfalls Indigent suffer most
